Scott Mason is an award-winning industrial designer devoted to designing contemporary furniture that is functional, beautiful, and timeless. His designs, incorporating sustainable wood and green production techniques, are produced in association with Wooda and David Edward Co. In addition, Mason consults on garden furniture design for Munder Skiles and designs furnishings for Hosteling International USA. Architectural-scale 3D printables of his furniture models are also available through Mason’s First Planet Studio. While Scott Mason Design is all about furniture, Mason has also designed consumer products, medical instruments, and toys for a variety of East Coast design studios, as well as exhibits for the National Aquarium in Baltimore and computer illustrations and animation for NASA. He earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial design at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and is past Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
